Chengkang Hydrogen Carbon New Material Technology has announced that it will build the world’s first “waste hydrogen production + carbon recycling” plant in Xiangyang City, Hubei Province. The demonstration project use urban waste to produce biogas. The biogas will then be transformed into hydrogen and carbon compounds. The hydrogen will mainly be used in hydrogen refuelling stations while the carbon will be used to produce graphene and graphite. The total investment of the project is nearly 1.2 billion CNY (190 M USD).
