China’s government recently released statistics describing China’s solar sector up to the end of November. A number of interesting figures stand out:
- China’s total installed capacity reached 287 GW, compared to 253 GW at the end of 2020.
- Average utilization hours were relatively stable compared to last year, with 1194 hours.
Country wide curtailment rate was 2.1 %, a slight increase compared to 2% in 2020. The northwestern provinces of Tibet and Qinghai had the highest curtailment rates at 18.8% and 14.5%, respectively.
