Shanghai to promote “solar, storage, DC, and flexibility” in public institutional buildings

The Shanghai government recently launched the ‘Action Plan for Green, Low-Carbon and Circular Development of Shanghai Public Institutions’. The plan suggests to explore:

  • the integration of solar power generation, energy storage, DC power distribution, and flexible power consumption for public institutional buildings;
  • the application of renewable energy hot water systems such as solar energy and air source heat pumps;
  • the use of renewable energy smart street lights, and the selection of renewable energy smart street light projects with multiple functions such as renewable energy power generation, energy storage, etc.
