The General Office of the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government issued the “14th Five-Year Plan” for resource conservation and circular economy development in Shanghai. The plan suggests accelerating the construction of offshore wind power bases in Fengxian, Nanhui, Jinshan and other regions to reach 1.8 GW of new installed wind capacity, while actively promoting demonstration pilot projects of GW-scale deep far sea offshore wind power. The plan also targets to add 2.7 GW of new solar capacity during the 14th FYP period.
