Shandong province publishes its 14th FYP for renewable energy

Shandong government recently issued the ‘14th Five-Year Plan for Renewable Energy Development in Shandong Province’. By 2025, the province’s renewable energy installed capacity is planned to reach more than 90 GW, double that of 2020. Wind power is expected to reach 25 GW, solar 57 GW, biomass 4 GW, and hydropower (including pumped storage) 4 GW. The province plans to build 4 energy bases including a 10 GW offshore wind power base and a 10 GW wind-solar-storage power base. It also wants to reinforce its manufacturing capacity by developing a wind industry manufacturing cluster, with the ambition of developing 10 MW+ wind turbines and key components.
