Hebei to build more than 4GW of new energy storage by 2025

The Hebei Development and Reform Commission issued the “14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of New Energy Storage in Hebei Province”. The document proposes that by 2025, the province will build 4 GW of new energy storage, and realize the comprehensive market development of the technologies by 2030. This will be achieved via the strategy of “one core + one district + two areas”, which are “one core” R&D hub in Xiong’an, “one district” for large scale demonstration projects of “wind power solar base + energy storage” in Zhangcheng, and “two areas” for scalable application of demonstration projects and equipment manufacturing base of “solar + energy storage” in Taihang Mountains and Hebei’s coastal area.
