CREEI unveils 11.25 GW offshore solar plan in Shandong province

On May 12, the China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute (CREEI) released the “Shandong Province 2022 Pile Foundation Fixed Offshore Photovoltaic Project Competitive Configuration” on its official website. The plan includes 10 projects with a total scale of 11.25GW and extends to 2025, with nearly 6 GW expected to be completed by the end of 2023. The projects are in water with depths ranging between 0 and 8 meters and are designed to have fixed bottom foundations. The largest project is situated in Yantai, on the northern coast of Shandong, with a capacity of 2.7 GW.
