Both Jiangsu and Guangdong power exchanges have concluded their provincial annual contract transactions for 2023. According to the results released by the power exchanges, the Jiangsu total annual transaction volume excluding green power was 338.989 TWh, with a weighted average price of 466.64 CNY/MWh, 19.35% higher than the coal-fired base price. The annual green power transaction volume in Jiangsu was 1.774 TWh, which was almost double that of 2022. Green power’s weighted average price was 468.58 CNY/MWh, which was similar to the price last year, still hovering around the price ceiling.
With regards to Guangdong, the total annual transaction volume excluding green power was 247.277 TWh, with a weighted average price of 553.86CNY/MWh. The annual green power trading in Guangdong has reached 1.563TWh, more than twice as much as in 2022. The green power’s average transaction price has also increased by 7% compared to that of last year, reaching 551.15CNY/MWh made up of 529.94CNY/MWh of power tariff and 21.21CNY/MWh of green premium.
