China’s first floating offshore wind power platform, equipped with the world’s first anti-typhoon floating offshore wind turbine, was successfully connected to the grid for power generation at the Yangjiang offshore wind farm in Guangdong. The 5.5MW wind turbine was supplied by Mingyang and the floating system is part of a project owned by China Three Gorges.
