Wrigley
For Wrigley, Azure conducted a global P2E2 assessment focusing on energy and water consumption. The work included short energy audits at 2 sites in China; Panyu and Shanghai. The audits resulted in a clear set of energy efficiency improvement recommendations for each site, as well as a global program for energy efficiency improvement.
L'Oreal
Azure helped L’Oreal to plan for future roll-out of ambitious sustainable energy measures in China and Asia. The work comprises a detailed energy audit of the L’Oreal main production facility in Suzhou, identification and assessment of energy efficiency and renewable energy options and the development of an action plan for the implementation of selected investments in coordination with L’Oreal’s multi-year business planning.
Tetra Pak
Azure conducted a preliminary feasibility assessment of sustainable energy options for a new Tetra Pak site in Northern China. The assessment resulted in the identification of a cost-effective strategy for realising significant levels of renewable energy utilization for this site and mapped out a clear path for implementation
DSM
For DSM – a global Life and Material Sciences company – Azure developed a roadmap for the implementation of energy efficiency and renewable energy applications for one of DSM’s business groups in China. Through an energy audit and renewable energy scan short-term and future energy efficiency and renewable energy options were identified. The financial feasibility of the options was evaluated under various scenarios for future energy and production cost up to 2020. The study identified a package of cost-effective measures that allows large reductions in energy consumption, cost and GHG emissions and provided recommendations on a plan for implementation.
WWF
Together with WWF Hong Kong, Azure has developed the Low-Carbon Manufacturing Program (LCMP) for manufacturers in the Pearl River Delta. The program grants a label to manufacturers according to their carbon performance. The aim of the LCMP is to provide recognition to manufacturers for proactive action they are taking to reduce their carbon emissions and to encourage manufacturers to realise greater carbon emission reductions. Furthermore, the LCMP provides tailored web-based carbon accounting tools in accordance with the WRI/WBCSD GHG Protocol to Pearl River Delta Manufacturers. The LCMP is now working with leading brands to reduce the carbon footprint of their Pearl River Delta supply chains.
