China's Renewable Energy Promotion Law
On 28 February 2005, The National People's Congress passed an historic Renewable Energy Promotion Law which will take effect in 2006. This law earmarks RE technologies for preferential support, and aims to introduce market building mechanisms. Azure International expects Wind-power generation, Photo-Voltaic (PV) cell production, bio-fuel and small hydro projects to experience accelerated growth as a result.
