In this article, Azure director Sebastian Meyer was quoted as saying that the wind target for China by the end of 2008 could be eight gigawatts, but cautioned that the actual amount of installed capacity would be closer to two or two and a half giggawatts. He also said that the ways projects get developed and financed was completely different for China compared to more developed European and American markets, saying there is little record of reliability thus far for Chinese wind products.
