In this article, Azure research and advisory director Sebastian Meyer is quoted saying as saying that the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region had installed more than 1.5 gigawatts of wind power generation, more than a generation of the national total. He also predicted that moving forward, IMAR would account for more than 38% of China’s new wind power development in the coming years. |

In this article, Azure director Sebastian Meyer was quoted as saying that the wind target for China by the end of 2008 could be eight gigawatts, but cautioned that the actual amount of installed capacity would be closer to two or two and a half giggawatts. He also said that the ways projects get developed and financed was completely different for China compared to more developed European and American markets, saying there is little record of reliability thus far for Chinese wind products. |
