Financial performance of a wind project is tremendously sensitive to wind resource. Therefore, accurate wind data analysis and prediction of annual energy production of a wind farm, performed by a credible, experienced organization, is a crucial element for modeling financial return of the project over its lifetime.

Azure can undertake wind resource assessments according to international standards and issue bankable energy yield reports. Such a study typically comprises the following steps:

  • Acquiring wind, topographical, layout and turbine data:
  • Site visit:
  • Short term wind data selection and processing
  • Long term wind data selection and processing
  • Long term correlation
  • Wind turbine layout design
  • Wind flow calculation to obtain raw annual energy production
  • Losses estimation
  • Uncertainty estimation
  • Annual energy production at P50, P75, P90 and other confidence levels

Whether for technology joint venture, supply, licensing or training projects, inter-cultural technical communications is a key challenge affecting the efficiency and success of cross border cooperation. For selected projects and partners, Azure will assign its engineers to act as dedicated resources leading technical exchanges within controlled IP boundaries.

International companies have been sourcing equipment and material from China for decades. Despite rises in costs such as basic wages and the appreciation of the RMB, significant improvements in manufacturing expertise and standards as well as the booming growth of the homegrown market allowing massive scaling of operations still makes exploring supply chain alternatives in China extremely attractive. The Azure engineering team provides hands on support to your procurement needs by assisting or leading your sourcing efforts through the following steps:

  • Supplier identification and pre-selection
  • Supplier and parts qualification
  • Internal technical and economical assessment of designs
  • Technical discussions with suppliers to assess or optimize designs and manufacturing processes
  • Order negotiation
  • Sourcing logistic
  • Scheduled quality inspections

The Azure wind technical support team has been directly involved in permitting work for projects in Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang and has performed due diligence on portfolios of projects in other provinces including Shandong, Gansu, Xinjiang and Hainan. Knowledge of the wind farm permitting processes of different provinces and deep understanding of the relative importance of each approval document enables Azure to rapidly assess the legal situation and possible challenges of projects under development.

The Azure engineering team provides commercial and technical services to its partners and clients in the clean tech industry. The team has been leading China market entry projects for the past ten years, enabling Azure clients and partners to identify, secure and execute project opportunities, therefore establishing strong presence in China with a cost-effective solution. The unique competence of our team lies in its strong OEM network, broad technical capacity as well as deep understanding of China specific issues related to manufacturing quality and project value.

Activities of the engineering group encompasses the following:

  • Sourcing & Procurement
